The HP envy is a lineup of high performance notebook PCs aimed at the consumers who need portability, a stylish design, performance and a laptop that can replace a desktop. This HP Envy 15 review states that the 15 inch version of the lineup which is considered a multimedia and mid-level gaming laptop. The product boasts an appealing design. High quality plastic is used to create the external parts while the inside part and palm rest is made from aluminum.

This brand of gadgets has Chiclet type of keyboards that make typing on them much easier and faster. The keys also have backlights to help you see in the dark. It also has a large enough touchpad that is adequately sensitive with a single bar for both the two mouse buttons at the bottom of the pad that may not be pleasing to some.

An i5 dual core or i7 quad core processor is what powers each Envy branded laptop. The Graphics processor on the other hand for each computer is either the Intel HD or the Radeon from ATI. As per their performance, laptops that come with the former have weaker graphic capability while the latter is used for applications that require higher quality graphics such as gaming.

The display on this computer has LEDs to light it up and 15.6 inches in size. Consumers have an option between a 1366 by 768 or a full HD IPS panel screen resolution. The second option however costs more. If in need of a bigger screen size than this, you may opt for the HP Envy 17 that has a full HD screen of 1920 by 1080 resolution. However, the 17 inch version is more or less the same as the 15 inch version with regards to quality and features.

As multimedia notebook it is expected that the sound on the PC to be quality. The audio on the notebook has been engineered by Beats audio. The highs, mediums and lows are balanced to give a good listening experience. Some models have sub-woofers at the bottom to produce bass. There is also an analogue volume button on the left to increase or reduce volume, on pressing the button an audio settings menu pops up where one can change the equalizer or other audio settings.

The notebook comes with a slot loading DVD drive. Those who opt for a Blu ray drive will need to get the Envy 17. The laptop comes with 8 GB RAM which is expandable up to 16 GB.

Storage will not be a problem since there is an option from 500 GB to 750 GB hard drives. The ports are well distributed around the laptop with the vent at the back side. The notebook boasts a long battery life on wireless web browsing.

While developing the HP Envy 15 review, the Sleekbook is also quite a popular model worth mentioning. It has a much thinner design than the other two models. Nevertheless, the similarity of them all is that they all have the same superior type processors and GPUs installed in them. This model has a battery lifespan of up to 8.5 hours ant still possesses the same quality feats of sound engineering as the others in its line from Beats.
